Perhaps the most striking feature of his selfless work was how he touched the heart of countless people from diverse backgrounds and inspired them to live a life based on spiritual values. A contemporary and good friend of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Swamiji established a Vedanta academy in India.

About the Author
Neeru Mehta grew up in Lucknow, India in a socially and culturally vibrant family. She excelled in academics and won the Chancellor's Silver Medal when she graduated from Lucknow University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts. Later she pursued a degree in law and went on to win the Chancellor's Gold medal. Neeru established a herbal cosmetic business, served on the board of Andhra Bank and was the Chairperson of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce's women's wing. She resides in Ahmedabad with her husband and is a proud grandmother of three. She has also written Swamin Namaste in Hindi and published Swamiji's handwritten notes, Scraps & Bits. Neeru continues to pursue her spiritual life as an avid vedantin. Swami Chinmayananda and other masters remain her guiding light even today.
